Nourishing Beard Oil

Signature Series — 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz

A beard is two things at once: the hair you see and the skin you don’t. Most men look after the first and forget the second. This oil looks after both — organic hemp seed oil and 1% CBD for the skin beneath, vitamin E for the hair itself, and a scent worth lingering over.

If you’re buying this for him: The oil that makes the beard something worth touching — for both of you. He’ll notice the hair. She’ll notice the skin.

Nourishing Beard Oil — Signature Series

Two Things at Once

A beard grows from skin. That sounds obvious, but most beard care ignores it entirely — it treats the hair as if it exists in isolation. The itch, the flaking, the irritation that comes with growing or maintaining a beard? That’s the skin underneath, unattended. The dryness, the roughness, the beard that looks healthy but doesn’t feel it? That’s the hair, unsupported.

This oil was formulated to work on both. The base is organic hemp seed oil — one of the most balanced carrier oils available, rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in a ratio the skin readily absorbs. The active is 1% CBD — cannabidiol derived from hemp, which provides a calming, comforting effect on the skin beneath. The antioxidant is vitamin E, protecting both hair and skin from environmental damage. And the formula is ten ingredients total — because quality isn’t about complexity. It’s about choosing the right things and leaving out everything that doesn’t earn its place.

What the Formula Does

Organic hemp seed oil nourishes from the base. Rich in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) in a ratio close to what the skin produces naturally. It absorbs quickly without greasiness, softening beard hair while delivering essential fatty acids to the skin beneath. This is the carrier — the oil that does the structural work.

1% CBD calms the skin underneath. Cannabidiol — derived from hemp — interacts with the endocannabinoid receptors in your skin. In practical terms: it provides a calming, comforting effect on the skin beneath the beard, where irritation, dryness, and sensitivity tend to concentrate. The skin under a beard gets less airflow, less direct cleansing, and more friction than exposed skin. CBD helps it cope.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol) protects. A fat-soluble antioxidant that shields both hair and skin from the oxidative damage UV and pollution cause. It also helps the oil remain stable over time — a natural preservation system for an anhydrous (water-free) formula.

The carrier system absorbs cleanly. Decyl Cocoate (coconut-derived), Undecane, and Tridecane are lightweight carrier ingredients that ensure the oil absorbs into the beard and skin rather than sitting on the surface. The result: the beard feels conditioned, not greasy. The skin feels nourished, not coated.

The Scent

Orange. Bergamot. Lavender. Coumarin. Oakmoss. A fougère — one of the oldest and most structured scent families in fragrance. The citrus opens bright and warm. The lavender provides the aromatic heart. The coumarin (sweet, hay-like) and oakmoss (earthy, grounding) give it depth and longevity. This isn’t a fragrance sprayed on top of a formula. The essential oils are part of the formulation — they serve the scent and the skin simultaneously.

You’ll smell it on your fingertips after application. She’ll catch it when you’re close. It sits quietly — present but not performing.

Where This Lives

On the shelf next to the sink. Three drops in the morning, worked into a damp beard after washing. Twenty seconds. That’s the entire ritual. In the dopp kit when travelling — 20 ml is carry-on friendly. On the nightstand if evenings are when the beard gets attention.

This is the product that makes the beard intentional. Not just something that grows — something that’s looked after. The difference between a beard that happens and a beard that’s chosen.

The Numbers

100% natural origin. 62% organic. ECOCERT COSMOS Organic certified — a higher standard than COSMOS Natural. Every plant-based ingredient must meet minimum organic thresholds, and the overall organic content of the formula is independently verified. Vegan. Nut-free. 20 ml at daily use lasts approximately 8–10 weeks.

If You’re Buying This for Him

The beard is his. The skin underneath is something he’s probably never thought about. This oil looks after both — and it takes twenty seconds a day. He’ll notice the hair is softer. She’ll notice the skin feels different under her hand. The gift that teaches him something about his own skin.

Now you know what’s in it and why. The rest is yours.

What’s In This — And Why Every Ingredient Is Here

What’s in this guide

Every ingredient in the Nourishing Beard Oil — what it does, why it’s here, and what you’ll notice. Ten ingredients. This is one of the shortest INCI lists you’ll find on any men’s product — and that’s deliberate.

The Base: organic hemp seed oil — what it provides and why it was chosen
The Active: 1% CBD — what cannabidiol actually does for the skin beneath your beard
The Protector: vitamin E — antioxidant and natural preservation
The Carriers: why the oil absorbs cleanly instead of sitting on the surface
The Scent: a fougère built from natural essential oils
Why This Formula Has No Preservatives: and why that’s honest, not a marketing claim

The Base: Organic Hemp Seed Oil

Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil — and yes, it comes from the same plant family. Hemp seed oil contains no THC and no psychoactive compounds. What it does contain is one of the most nutritionally balanced fatty acid profiles available in a carrier oil.

Omega-6 (linoleic acid) — the fatty acid your skin needs to maintain a healthy lipid barrier. The skin under your beard doesn’t get the same environmental exposure as your face, but it gets less airflow, more friction, and less direct attention. Linoleic acid helps maintain the barrier’s integrity in those conditions.

Omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) — an anti-inflammatory fatty acid. When the skin under your beard is irritated — from friction, from dryness, from the mechanical stress of the hair growing through it — omega-3s help calm the response.

The ratio matters. Hemp seed oil’s omega-6 to omega-3 ratio (approximately 3:1) is close to what the skin produces naturally. This means it integrates with the skin’s own chemistry rather than sitting on top of it. The oil absorbs quickly, delivers its payload, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. Compare this to heavier oils — coconut, castor — which coat the surface effectively but absorb more slowly and can trap debris against the skin.

The hemp seed oil is from organic farming (marked ➀ in the INCI), verified under the COSMOS Organic standard.

The Active: 1% Cannabidiol (CBD)

Cannabidiol — derived from extract or tincture or resin of cannabis. That’s the full INCI declaration. In plain language: CBD extracted from hemp, present at 1% concentration.

CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system — a network of receptors present throughout your body, including in the skin. Your skin has CB1 and CB2 receptors that influence inflammation response, sebum production, and cellular communication. CBD interacts with these receptors, and the observable effects are calming and comforting — reduced irritation, reduced sensitivity, a skin surface that feels settled rather than reactive.

Why 1%? Concentration matters. Below 0.5%, CBD is unlikely to have a meaningful topical effect — it becomes a marketing ingredient rather than a functional one. At 1%, the concentration is high enough to interact with the skin’s receptors while remaining within the formulation balance that allows the other ingredients to do their work. This is a functional concentration, not a label claim.

For the skin under the beard specifically: this area experiences chronic low-level stress — hair growing through the follicle, friction from the beard moving against clothing and skin, reduced airflow trapping moisture and heat. CBD provides targeted calming support for exactly these conditions. The itch and irritation that many men experience with beard growth isn’t inevitable — it’s the skin responding to stress, and CBD helps moderate that response.

The Protector: Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Tocopherol — a fat-soluble antioxidant. It serves two purposes in this formula.

For your skin and hair: vitamin E neutralises free radicals — the reactive molecules generated by UV exposure, pollution, and normal metabolic processes. The beard hair and the skin beneath are both vulnerable to oxidative damage, and tocopherol provides a layer of protection that persists after the oil has been absorbed.

For the formula itself: tocopherol acts as a natural antioxidant for the oil, preventing the fatty acids in the hemp seed oil from oxidising (going rancid). This is how an anhydrous formula preserves itself without synthetic preservatives — the vitamin E protects the oil’s integrity over time.

The Carriers: Clean Absorption

Decyl Cocoate — a coconut-derived emollient. Light, non-greasy, and quickly absorbed. It helps the heavier hemp seed oil spread evenly and penetrate the beard hair and skin rather than pooling on the surface.

Undecane and Tridecane — plant-derived hydrocarbons that serve as lightweight carrier agents. They give the oil its clean, dry finish — the reason your beard feels conditioned but not oily within minutes of application. These are the ingredients responsible for the sensory quality: the oil that absorbs like it was designed for men who don’t want to walk around feeling greasy.

The Scent: A Fougère from Natural Essential Oils

Parfum — from natural essential oils. The scent profile is a fougère — one of the classical fragrance families, structured and layered.

Top notes: orange and bergamot. Bright, citrusy, warm. The opening — what you smell in your palms as you apply.

Heart: lavender. Aromatic, herbal, calming. The bridge between the bright opening and the deeper base.

Base: coumarin and oakmoss. Coumarin is sweet and hay-like — the warmth that lingers. Oakmoss is earthy and grounding — the note that gives the scent its depth and longevity. Together they create the dry-down: the scent that’s still quietly present an hour later.

Limonene, Linalool, and Citral — three fragrance allergens naturally present in the essential oils, declared separately per EU regulation. Limonene (citrus character), Linalool (floral/lavender character), and Citral (fresh lemon character). Listed individually so anyone with a sensitivity can identify them.

Why This Formula Has No Preservatives

This is an anhydrous formula — it contains no water. Bacteria, mould, and yeast require water to grow. No water, no microbial risk. The vitamin E (tocopherol) prevents oxidation of the oils, which is the only degradation pathway in a water-free formulation.

When a product claims “preservative-free,” the first question should be: is there water in the formula? If yes, preservatives are needed regardless of what the label says. If no — as with this beard oil — the claim is honest and the formula is stable without them.

This is ten ingredients doing exactly what they need to do. Nothing added for the label. Nothing left out for the marketing.

What’s NOT In This Formula

No water. This is an anhydrous (water-free) oil formula. No water means no environment for microbial growth, which means no preservatives needed. This isn’t a marketing choice — it’s a formulation fact.

No silicones. The conditioning and shine come from hemp seed oil and the carrier system. No dimethicone, no cyclomethicone.

No mineral oil. No petroleum-derived ingredients of any kind. The entire formula is plant-based.

No synthetic fragrance. Natural essential oils only. Three individual allergens declared per EU regulation: limonene, linalool, citral.

Contains: CBD (cannabidiol from hemp), natural fragrance allergens (limonene, linalool, citral from essential oils). Patch test if you have known sensitivities.

What COSMOS Organic Certification Means

This product carries ECOCERT COSMOS Organic certification — a higher standard than COSMOS Natural. The difference matters.

COSMOS Natural requires minimum natural-origin content and prohibits specific synthetic ingredients. COSMOS Organic requires all of that AND mandates that a minimum percentage of plant-based ingredients come from organic farming. For this product: 62% of the total formula is organic.

For this product specifically: the formulation has been independently audited by ECOCERT Greenlife. The hemp seed oil is verified organic. The overall organic content meets the COSMOS Organic threshold. Synthetic fragrances, petrochemical ingredients, silicones, and GMO-derived ingredients are prohibited.

The certification is on the product — this formulation, in this bottle. Verified by an independent third party.

How to Use — And Why It Matters

Quick Version

Three drops in the palm. Rub between hands. Work into a damp beard from the skin outward. Done.

Everything below explains why “damp” matters, why “from the skin” matters, and why three drops is all you need.

Application

Apply to a damp beard, not a dry one. This is the single most important piece of beard care knowledge most men don’t have. When beard hair is damp, the cuticle — the outer protective layer of each strand — is partially open. Oil applied at this stage penetrates the hair shaft and reaches the skin beneath. On dry hair, the cuticle is closed. Oil sits on the surface — it adds shine but doesn’t nourish. The difference between a beard that looks oiled and a beard that feels different to the touch starts here.

Start at the skin, not the hair. Work the oil into the skin beneath the beard first, then distribute through the hair. The CBD and hemp seed oil need to reach the skin to do their work — calming irritation, delivering fatty acids, supporting the lipid barrier. The beard hair benefits on the way through.

Three drops is enough. This is a concentrated formula — 20 ml of oil, not water-diluted product. Three drops for a short-to-medium beard. Four to five for a longer beard. If the beard feels greasy after application, you’ve used too much. The carrier system (decyl cocoate, undecane, tridecane) is designed for rapid absorption. Within a few minutes, the oil should be invisible — absorbed into the hair and skin, doing its work quietly.

Morning is the natural time. After the shower, after the All-in-One Hair & Body Wash, while the beard is still damp from towelling. The wash cleanses the beard and skin. The oil follows — nourishing, calming, protecting. Two products. One sequence. The complete beard routine.

How Often

Daily. The skin under your beard produces sebum continuously, but it also faces continuous stress — friction, reduced airflow, the mechanical pressure of hair growth. Daily application provides consistent support. Over time, the CBD’s calming effect becomes cumulative — the skin beneath stays settled rather than cycling between irritated and recovering.

After swimming or extended exposure: salt water and chlorine dry both beard hair and the skin beneath. Apply an extra drop after washing to restore what was lost.

Building It Into a Routine

Step one: wash. The All-in-One Hair & Body Wash handles the beard — the coconut-derived surfactants cleanse the hair and skin gently, the betaine protects moisture, the quince conditions.

Step two: this oil on a damp beard. Three drops. From the skin outward. Twenty seconds.

Step three: whatever your face needs. Moisturiser. SPF. The beard oil handles the bearded area. The rest of your face is a separate consideration.

That’s a beard routine. Two minutes. The beard is cleansed, nourished, and protected. The skin beneath is calm and hydrated.

Reading the Results

First use: the beard feels softer immediately. The carrier system absorbs quickly — within minutes, no residue. The scent sits close: orange, bergamot, lavender settling into coumarin and oakmoss.

First week: the skin beneath feels calmer. If you’ve experienced itch or irritation with beard growth, the CBD is doing its work. The beard hair has more lustre — the hemp seed oil and vitamin E are conditioning from within.

Ongoing: the beard becomes something you’re aware of in a different way. Not something that just grows — something that’s looked after. The difference between a beard that happens and a beard that’s chosen.

Allergen Note
